Introduction

Do you need a simple and free application that will display analog clocks for different time zones on your desktop for Windows OS? Are you working with people from different parts of the world and want to keep track of their local time?

SAC - Simple Analog Clock - is an solution for you.



Installation

Just run the "sac-simple-analog-clock_installer_1.0.1.exe" installer file and SAC - Simple Analog Clock will be installed into the "Program Files" folder. Application is storing files (settings, timezones data) in your user profile path ( C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\vt-soft\sac\).

You can download the latest version of SAC - Simple Analog Clock from this site, Microsoft Store and from dozens of other software download sites.


Settings

  • Open the Settings window:

    Once the SAC - Simple Analog Clock is installed, go to the Settings and adjust the clocks for your purposes. There are two ways how to enter the Settings window:

    • Right-click on the clock icon in system tray. Then select "Settings" from the context menu.

    • Hover the mouse over the top-left corner and then click on the cog wheel button.

  • Clock settings (local settings):

    Go to the "Clock settings" tab and add/delete/edit the clocks according to your needs.
    First of all fill in "Country/region" combobox, then "Capital/example city" combobox will be filled with the cities from the selected country/region. Then fill in "Clock name" field. You can name the clock as you want or by pressing "<" button, the clock will be named by the name of the city from the "Capital/example city" combobox. Edit in the remaining parameters or leave them as they are. Then press the "Save" button.

  • Working hours:

    "Working hours" is powerfull way how to immediatelly find out if the current time in the city is within working hours or not. SAC - Simple Analog Clock - cog wheel

    By default working hours are set from 9:00 to 17:00, but you can change them (for each clock) as you want.

    Working hours are represented by five basic colours:
    • Blue - working hours will start within one hour or earlier
    • Green - working hours
    • Orange - working hours wil end within one hour or earlier
    • Red - working hours ended before one hour or earlier
    • Grey - current time is outside of working hours


  • Global settings:

    Go to the "Global settings" tab and configure the options according to your preferences.
    Global settings will override the clock-specific settings. The correct approach is to firstly modify the "Global settings" and then adjust the clock-specific settings (in "Clock settings" tab) if needed.


  • Clock form position:

    To adjust clock form positon and size use the buttons in the left-top and right-bottom corner of the application window. SAC - Simple Analog Clock - adjusting clock form possition



Tips and recommendations:

After the installation go to the "Global settings" tab and set the "Run application at startup" option, to ensure application is automatically launched at startup.

Q: Is Simple Analog Clock really free?
A: Yes, this application is free for both personal and commercial use.

Q: Does the application spy on the user?
A: No. Unlike many of today's applications, especially mobile applications, that spy on users and send their personal data to third parties, Simple Analog Clock does not do anything like that. The application does not spy on users or send any data anywhere. You can verify this by downloading the source code from GitHub.
